Martta’s name day

Martta’s name day is celebrated at the Burgher’s House Museum to honour the most recent owner and occupant of the building, Martta Bröyer. Thanks to her persistent work, the house still exists and is used as a museum. A special guided Martta Bröyer tour will be held in the main building at 14.00. The second theme of the day will be the name day, which used to be a more important celebration than the birthday and came with some colourful traditions. You can admire the name day tree and discuss old name day traditions in the outbuilding’s chamber.
