Inehmo
Tapahtuma

Inehmo sings Finnish folk poetry with Finno-Ugric compositions: in addition to impressive Mordvian compositions, the programme includes Finnish, Udmurt, Seto, Mari, Karelian and Ingrian compositions. The folk poems depict origin myths, spells, proverbs and fables. Many of the songs also feature themes of aging: widowhood, the passage of time, the lessening of strength and the longing for intimacy. The songs are natural, and many of the songs feel summery: one song creates a big oak tree, another talks about boating and fishing, a third depicts a swallow building a nest, a ploughing cat and a whining mosquito.
Free admission to the courtyard concerts held at the Burgher’s House. Welcome!
