The event will include a work demonstration on a lace technique called tatting. There will also be a buffet organised by the Martha Organisation selling traditional pastries that will bring the past alive for your taste buds as well. Participants will also get a chance to try their hand at birch bark rattles and ship art. You can also look forward to long skirts whirling on the cobblestones and traditional melodies played by a barrel organ player and Sibbo Spelmanslag.

In the spirit of dance artist Martta Bröyer, the last owner of the Burgher’s House, the courtyard stage will serve as a venue for some bold avant-garde dance art at 13:00 and 14:00. Hetkiä – Moments is a multidisciplinary performance by dance artist Katriina Kantola and visual artist Anniina Dunder-Berg, characterised by the live interaction of dance and visual art. The audience gets to influence the course of the performance by choosing costumes for the dancer and templates for the artist. The silent 20-minute performance is suitable for people of all ages.
